Τελετή λήξεως των μαθημάτων εκμάθησης της ελληνικής γλώσσας στη Ρώμη Στο κατάμεστο κεντρικό αμφιθέατρο του Ανατολικού Ποντιφικού Ινστιτούτου της Ρώμης έλαβε χώρα η τελετή λήξεως των μαθημάτων εκμάθησης της ελληνικής γλώσσας για το τρέχον ακαδημαϊκό έτος. Το πρόγραμμα ξεκίνησε πριν από τέσσερα χρόνια με πρωτοβουλία του Γενικού Διευθυντή της Αποστολικής Διακονίας της Εκκκλησίας της Ελλάδος, Θεοφιλεστάτου Επισκόπου Φαναρίου κ. Αγαθαγγέλου με την αγαστή συνεργασία του Ανατολικού Ποντιφικού Ινστιτούτου της Ρώμης, υπολογίζεται δε ότι έχουν συμμετάσχει σ' αυτό πάνω από 500 φοιτητές από διάφορες χώρες του κόσμου. Η σπουδαιότητα του προγράμματος για τη διάχυση του ελληνικού πολιτισμού και πνεύματος στη Δύση γίνεται ακόμη μεγαλύτερη αν λάβουμε υπ' όψιν μας ότι στις ημέρες μας, σε άλλα περιώνυμα πανεπιστήμια του εξωτερικού καταργούνται τμήματα της νεοελληνικής γλώσσας λόγω οικονομικών περικοπών ή και χαμηλής συμμετοχής των φοιτητών σε αυτά. Με θερμά λόγια για το πρόγραμμα εκφράσθηκαν ο πρύτανης του πανεπιστημίου και ο εκπρόσωπος του Ποντιφικού Συμβουλίου για την ενότητα των χριστιανών π. Ανδρέας Παλμιέρι. Στην εκδήλωση παρέστησαν εκπρόσωποι της Μητρόπολης Ιταλίας, της ελληνικής και κυπριακής πρεσβείας, πανεπιστημιακοί και εκπρόσωποι εταιρειών που στηρίζουν το πρόγραμμα, ενώ μοιράστηκαν ελληνικά προϊόντα, κληρώθηκαν δύο αεροπορικά εισιτήρια για την Αθήνα, τέσσερα τάμπλετς και άλλα δώρα. Η εκδήλωση έκλεισε με παρατεταμένο χειροκρότημα των φοιτητών για τον κ. Χρήστο Παλασκώνη ο οποίος έχει αναλάβει την υλοποίηση του εκπαιδευτικού αυτού εγχειρήματος.

The closing ceremony of the Greek language courses taking place in Rome The ceremony took place on May, 9th 2016, and just before the formal examinations. In the full amphitheater of the Eastern Pontifical Institute of Rome, where the ceremony took place for the current Academic year, the atmosphere was touching but also promising for the next year. The program started four years ago and it was supported by the innovative and charismatic His Very Rvd, Agathangelos, Bishop of Fanarion and General Director of the Apostoliki Diakonia of Greece. His vision humbly started with the co-operation of the Eastern Pontifical Institute of Rome four (4) years ago and with great happiness, he managed to see his dream come true, since until now more than five hundred (500) students participate in the program, not only from Italy but from many countries. The importance of the particular program is the infusion of the Greek culture and furthermore the highlights of the Greek civilization in the West, winch this is becoming more important if we stand and alone and just think what happening around us in an almost collapsing world. The scope of the program becomes more valuable because in many of the most prestigious institutes and universities, due to the current economic crisis, the Greek language courses are diminishing. The Chancellor of the Institute and representative of the Pontifical Council for the unity of the Christians, His Excellency Mr. Andrew Palmieri, express his best and warmest wishes for the programe.The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Metropolis of Italy, representatives of the Greek and Cypriot Embassies. University professors and representatives of Greek companies that shares and contribute to this multi demanding task. At the end of the ceremony many Greek products were offered to the students, as well as two air tickets to Athens, four (4) tablets and many more useful presents. The closing ceremony came to an end with the touching upload to the Professor Mr Christos Palaskonis, who has the difficult task of managing the tutorial part.
