ΔΕΛΤΙΟ ΤΥΠΟΥ

Με αισθήματα ευλάβειας και δέους, το πρωΐ της Κυριακής 14 ης Μαΐου, θα αναχωρήσει από τον αερολιμένα «Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος», ειδική αεροπορική πτήση της Ellinair - Mouzenidis Group με την αντιπροσωπεία που θα παραλάβει από την Βασιλική του Αγ. Μάρκου της Βενετίας τα ιερά λείψανα της Αγίας Ελένης της Ισαποστόλου και το Τίμιο Ξύλο.

Στην τελετή παραλαβής θα είναι παρόντες οι Σεβ. Μητροπολίτες Ιταλίας κ. Γεννάδιος και Καισαριανής, Βύρωνος και Υμηττού κ. Δανιήλ, εκπρόσωπος της Ιεράς Συνόδου, ο Θεοφιλ. Επίσκοπος Φαναρίου κ. Αγαθάγγελος, Γενικός Διευθυντής της Αποστολικής Διακονίας, ο Ρωμαιοκαθολικός Πατριάρχης Βενετίας κ. Francisco Moraglia, ο Περιφερειάρχης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας κ. Απόστολος Τζιτζικώστας, ο Γενικός Γραμματεύς Θρησκευμάτων κ. Γεώργιος Καλαντζής, ο Δήμαρχος της πόλης της Βενετίας, ο Δήμαρχος Αγίας Βαρβάρας Αττικής, οι Αντιδήμαρχοι του Αιγάλεω, η οικογένεια Μουζενίδη (χορηγός), στελέχη της Ιεράς Συνόδου, της Αποστολικής Διακονίας και της Ellinair, νέοι με παραδοσιακές στολές, η ελληνορθόδοξη κοινότητα της Βενετίας και πολλοί δημοσιογράφοι.

Τα ιερά κειμήλια θα υποδεχθεί στις 17.30 μ.μ. στον αερολιμένα «Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος» ο Σεβ. Μητροπολίτης Μεσογαίας και Λαυρεωτικής κ. Νικόλαος. Στις 18.30 μ.μ. θα υποδεχθεί τα ιερά λείψανα και το Τίμιο Ξύλο ο Σεβ. Μητροπολίτης Νικαίας κ. Αλέξιος μπροστά από το Δημαρχείο του Αιγάλεω και στη συνέχεια η λιτανευτική πομπή θα κατευθυνθεί προς τον Ιερό Προσκυνηματικό Ναό της Αγίας Βαρβάρας, όπου θα τελεσθεί Δοξολογία, προεξάρχοντος του Μακαριωτάτου Αρχιεπισκόπου Αθηνών και πάσης Ελλάδος κ. Ιερωνύμου, με την παρουσία του Εξοχωτάτου Προέδρου της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας κ. Προκόπη Παυλόπουλου. Στις 21.30 θα τελεσθεί Ιερά Αγρυπνία, προεξάρχοντος του Σεβ,. Μητροπολίτου Πειραιώς κ. Σεραφείμ. Την Δευτέρα 15 Μαΐου θα τελεσθεί θεία Λειτουργία, προεξάρχοντος του Σεβ. Μητροπολίτου Ιταλίας και Μελίτης κ. Γενναδίου.

With feelings of reverence and awe, on Sunday morning, May the 14 th, a special flight of Ellinair airline - Mouzenidis Group will depart from " Eleftherios Venizelos" airport, with a special delegation in order to transport from the Basilica of St. Mark in Venice, the sacred relics of Saint Helen-Equal-to-the Apostles, together with the Holy Cross.

At the reception ceremony will be present: the Metropolitan of Italy Mr. Gennadios, the Metropolitan of Kessariani, Vyronos and Ymmitou Mr. Daniel as a representative of the Holy Synod, The Bishop of Fanarion, Mr. Agathangelos, General Director of Apostoliki Diakonia, the Roman Catholic Patriarch of Venice, Francisco Moraglia, the Central Mayor of Central Macedonia Region, Mr. Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the General Secretary of Religious Affairs, Mr. George Kalantzis, the town Councilor Mrs. Deborah Onisto of the city of Venice, the Mayor of Aghia Varvara, Attica, the Deputy Mayors of Egaleo, the Mouzenidis family (sponsor), executive members of the Holy Synod, Apostoliki Diakonia and Ellinair Airline, youths with traditional costumes, the Greek-Orthodox community of Venice and many journalists,

The sacred relics will be welcomed, at 17.30 local time at « Eleftherios Venizelos" airport, by the Metropolitan of Mesogaia and Lavreotiki, Mr.Nicholaos. At 18.30, will be welcomed by the Metropolitan of Nikaia Mr. Alexios in front of the Town Hall of Egaleo and then the liturgical procession will arrive at the Holy Church of Saint Barbara, where a Doxology will be celebrated by His Beatitude, the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Ieronymos II, with the presence of the H. E. President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos. At 21.30, a Holy Vigil will take place by the Metropolitan of Piraeus, Mr. Seraphim. On Monday, May 15th, the Metropolitan of Italy and Melitis, Mr. Gennadios will preside the Divine Liturgy.
