Εκοιμήθη ο αγαπητός ομότιμος καθηγητής Πανεπιστημίου και εκλεκτός συνεργάτης του Οργανισμού της Αποστολικής Διακονίας Στυλιανός Παπαδόπουλος, αφήνοντας ένα δυσαναπλήρωτο κενό στα θεολογικά γράμματα της χώρας μας. Πολυσχιδής επιστήμονας, με ρηξικέλευθο πνεύμα και κριτική σκέψη, υπηρέτησε στον ακαδημαϊκό χώρο την ορθόδοξη πνευματικότητα ήδη από τις αρχές του '70 ως καθηγητής Πατρολογίας και Πατερικής Θεολογίας στη Θεολογική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Υπήρξε πολυγραφότατος και εξέδωσε πλήθος μελετών, μονογραφιών, επιστημονικών άρθρων και αφηγηματικών βιογραφιών. Η γραφή του κόσμησε πολλάκις τις εκδόσεις της Αποστολικής Διακονίας με επιστημονικά έργα και βιογραφίες των μεγάλων Πατέρων της Ορθοδοξίας. Ο ευγενής και προσηνής διδάσκαλος της Ορθοδοξίας θα μείνει για πάντα στις καρδιές μας.

Professor emeritus and choice associate of the Organisation of Apostoliki Diakonia, Stylianos Papadopoulos, passed away leaving creating an irreplaceable absence in the theological letters of our country. Scientist with manifold interests, with an enterprising spirit and critical thought, he served the orthodox spirituality in the academic world since the early 1970s as professor of Patrology and Patristic Theology in the Faculty of Theology, University of Athens. He was a copious writer and published a plethora of studies, scientific articles and narrative biographies. His writings, namely scientific works and biographies of the great Fathers of Orthodoxy, many times dignified the publications of Apostoliki Diakonia. The noble and affable teacher of the Orthodoxy will forever live in our hearts.
