PHRONTISTERY FOR PROSPECTIVE CATECHISTS
Based on a decision taken by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece in 1960, Apostoliki Diakonia established and operates a Phrontistery program regarding ptospective catehists.
Since then, the program has flourished and through extensive and targeted training, gives the opportunity to the future catechists the proper stepping stones, and through the right training, so as to learn how to positively transmit, promote and educate the essence of the Orthodox religion to the youngest candidates, but also to anyone wishing to serve the catechetical work of the church.
For more than half a century, the program has been pedagogically close to hundreds of young people fulfilling their need to be catechists of the Orthodox Church.
The Phrontistery entails a two-year study program held at Apostoliki Diakonia's Lecture Hall: 1, Iasiou Str., 115 21, Athens.
First-year courses take place every Saturday, from 16:00-18:30 hours; and second-year courses take place on the same day, from 19:00 to 21:30 hours.
§ Eligibility Qualifications:
The Phrontistery accepts seminarians, ages 18-40, upon submission of (a) proof of studies (minimum requirement: High School Diploma), and b) a recent photograph.
§ Registration:
For the year 2018-2019, registration will take place within the last ten (10) days of September up to the first ten (10) days of October.
§ Commencement of Classes:

The consecration ceremony, will take place at 18:00, on Saturday, October 22, 2018. It will be followed by the commencement of classes.
