MODERN GREEK LANGUAGE PROGRAM AND ACQUAINTANCE WITH THE GREEK ORTHODOX CULTURE ADDRESSED TO THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CLERGY

This program, a testimony of Christian love, is addressed to executives and students of the Roman Catholic Church from all over the world and has been operating since 2006. The Greek language courses take place every summer in the premises of the Theological Boarding School and are attended by more than 30 students from different countries of the world every year. In addition to the daily intensive learning courses of modern Greek language, guests have the opportunity to visit local institutions, pilgrimages, monasteries, parishes, archaeological sites and museums of our country. In addition, they are informed of the operation of our Church Organizations and attend seminars in Orthodox and Pastoral theology. This effort of the Apostoliki Diakonia constitutes a testimony of Christian love and effort to transmit experiences of Orthodox spirituality and Greek tradition. The participants of the program are required to give exams in Modern Greek language before they receive their qualifying certifications.
